Happy Birthday Tayyib!
Our favorite publisher/events coordinator/one-man-promo-company celebrated his born day yesterday. Make sure when you see him to ask Tayyib what its like to be 30 years old again. Here are some pics from the celebration at Quest's house.

I brought mac and cheese, 'cause that always wins at a house party. It looks like a solid chunk 'cause it was leftovers, but who cares? It's mac and cheese!

It's better warmed up. Softer to break apart and eat too.
What other people brought: bean salad, yellow rice and turkey chili with the fixins.
It's sweets city for Tayyib's assortment of baked goods: pineapple upside down cake, chocolate cake, cornbread, more cupcakes and sweet potatoe pie.
Don't you love brand and product sponsorships?
Would you expect anything else from it being at Quest's house?
He also has the best place mats.
The music entertainment source. Can't tell if it was Tayyib's or Quest's.
Surprisingly, March Madness was the tv entertainment of choice. You know how ironic this is if you know how much Tayyib loves sports. Yeah...
It wasn't warm but not too chilly either. So folks headed outside for some, errr, fresh air.
Since I wasn't the only one taking pics, I figured I'd just stop. Happy Birthday again Boss, hope you enjoyed the company and got what you wanted.

Friday night at the Ritz Bourse, our boy Mark Webber (who was featured in the first issue of two.one.five) will have a premiere screening of his film Explicit Ills, featuring Rosario Dawson and our very own Tariq Trotter(but some of ya'll know him as Black Thought). Buy your tickets to the screening in advanced, multiple screenings in NY sold out last weekend and they're expecting to do the same here.
Also, your favorite raving party Making Time is back again at Pure. Spank Rock will be there with a live set, plus Hearts Revolution! OPEN BAR with free PBR and Sparks from 9-11. If you wanna come through it's $10 in advance through tickets from The Last Drop Coffeehouse (1300 Pine Street) and online at www.igetrvng.com. Otherwise it's $12 at the door.
Last but certainly not least is this Saturday, Red Bull Music Academy's one-day session lecture with ?uestlove, and afterparty at the Arts Garage with Sammy Slice & Roc Da Spot.
