Birth of the Cool

might just say it all. If ever there was 1 title that made people wish they had thought of it first, it's Barclay Hendrick's exhibit name.

The first ever retrospective of Barclay Hendricks, a Philly native and PAFA alumnus opened last Friday at PAFA. His incredible life sized portraits of people of color (and landscapes!?!), are on stunning display until January 3, 2010.

GO. The pictures attached suck since they come from my very sad, camera challenged black berry (and I'm only posting 2 as making you look at more pix from my phone would be cruel), but that should just encourage you to go even more. Because the real thing is really, truly, definitely, cool. For real, for real.

Oh, and shhhh, if you go on Sundays, entry is free.
